Terry Fonda Smith is the Head of the Lower School at The Harley School, having shifted to administration in 2007 after teaching across divisions at Harley since 1994. She holds degrees in music performance and music education from Western Washington University, University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music, and the Eastman School of Music. She is on the faculty of the Hochstein School of Music and Dance as an oboe instructor and assistant director of Hochstein Sinfonia Strings. She satisfies her interest in music by playing locally in the Penfield Symphony Orchestra and Cordancia. Dr. Smith has been involved in climate activism through co-coaching the Rochester Youth Climate Leaders since 2015, where she has helped organize and present annual youth climate summits, as well as supporting student climate advocacy at the local and state level.
