We believe local residents should have easy access to information about local emissions sources and climate impact.
The Climate Solutions Accelerator focuses on locally relevant climate solutions and takes a science-based approach to identify climate action opportunities that effectively reduce emissions and benefit our communities.

Welcome
Because (1) political polarization hinders progress on climate and (2) we cannot achieve carbon neutrality in our region unless ALL members of our community have the opportunity to transition away from fossil fuels, the Accelerator prioritizes inclusivity to build a powerfully diverse local climate movement.

Inspire
Climate change is both a threat and opportunity for our region. By engaging stakeholders to co-create a vision for a better future, the Accelerator galvanizes broad public support for local efforts to implement effective, equitable climate solutions.

Convene
Climate change is a complex problem, which no one organization or individual can successfully address alone. The Accelerator therefore encourages and facilitates collaboration among stakeholders from across sectors and geographies to rapidly achieve regional carbon neutrality and reap the co-benefits of bold climate action.

Equip
Taking action on climate shouldn’t be hard. To make the process easier, the Accelerator gives organizations and individuals the tools, information, and vision they need to take effective action on climate at the local level.

Incubate
The climate solutions of tomorrow may not be known today. Since good ideas only bear fruit when given careful tending and time to grow, the Accelerator supports fledgling local efforts to address climate change and stewards these efforts until they are ready to thrive on their own.

Advocate
To expedite an equitable transition to carbon neutrality, institutional policies and practices and local, state, and national laws and regulations must align with climate goals. At the Accelerator, we leverage the power of our collaborative network to demand action from key decision-makers.

Given that incremental change and individual lifestyle choices will not reduce emissions enough to maintain safe global temperatures, the Accelerator focuses on implementing systems-level solutions and channeling energy into removing systemic barriers to progress.

Measure
Without transparency and access to good data, it’s impossible to know if we are making sufficient progress toward meeting our climate goals. To understand what works and what doesn’t, and hold ourselves and other stakeholders accountable, the Accelerator collects, analyzes, and shares locally-relevant climate data.
