Dr. Valerie Lou is an Emergency Physician who cares for patients and teaches medicine through the lens of public health and environmental interconnectedness.  As the breadwinner for her family and a mother of 3, she left a career in academic medicine to focus on the threat of climate change in our society.  She is currently starting a position with the Indian Health Services to care for indigenous communities.
