Shalini (pronounced SHAh-lin-e) is the Energy and Sustainability Manager at the City of Rochester’s Division of Environmental Quality’s Office of Energy and Sustainability. The Office of Energy and Sustainability is responsible for helping Rochester to adopt more sustainable practices, including climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, promote renewable energy, increase resiliency and raise public awareness about these issues and initiatives. Shalini joined the City of Rochester in 2016 and prior to that, she worked at the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Shalini holds a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Binghamton University.
