Shalini Beath (pronounced SHAh-lin-e Beeth) is the Energy and Sustainability Manager at the City of Rochester’s Division of Environmental Quality’s Office of Energy and Sustainability. Her work includes planning and implementing climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives that help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, promote renewable energy and raise public awareness about energy and sustainability issues. Shalini joined the City of Rochester in 2016 and prior to that, she worked at the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Shalini holds a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Binghamton University.
