Madison Quinn serves as Sustainability Coordinator for Monroe County. She is charged with the development and implementation of the County's Climate Action Plan, Climate Adaptation & Resiliency Plan, and other county-wide sustainability policies and programs. She has 15 years of experience working at the interface of environmental science, policy, and community engagement. Madison previously worked as Program Administrator and Communications Manager at the New York Water Environment Association, coordinating continuing education programming for water resource recovery operators and engineers working in the water quality sector across New York State. Her responsibilities also included developing continuing education programming for water quality professionals, administering a scholarship program, and managing communications and public outreach for the organization. Prior to working at NYWEA, Madison was the program manager for Onondaga County's award-winning Save the Rain Program – a stormwater management initiative employing green and gray infrastructure to manage runoff, reduce combined sewer overflows, and improve water quality in Onondaga Lake and its tributaries. She earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental science and policy from Clarkson University and a master of public administration degree from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
