Joely Wilder Merriman is a emergency physician and researcher with a focus on identifying environmental modifiers of disease states. She holds an M.D. from the University of Rochester, an M.S. in Health Technologies from the Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health in Salvador, Brazil, and a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Swarthmore College. Prior to a career in medicine, she worked at a healthcare design firm in San Francisco and completed graduate coursework in architecture at the University of California, Berkeley and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She has been in clinical practice for six years.
