Additionally, the launch of the Color Your School Green (CYSG) network meetings marks a significant milestone in promoting sustainability within educational settings. Accelerator staff and CYSG volunteers worked collaboratively to develop the CYSG toolkit and recruit stakeholders from diverse school districts. The monthly network meetings provide a platform for students, parents, and educators to exchange ideas and implement sustainable practices, fostering a culture of environmental awareness and action within schools.
In the past year, the Color Your Community Green (CYCG) initiative experienced notable growth with the establishment of three new teams in Rush, Greece, and Rochester, alongside the integration of Green Orleans and Green Warsaw into the CYCG network. This expansion highlights increasing community engagement and participation in regenerative initiatives across the region, as evidenced by the involvement of over 180 active CYCG team members.
