Jonathan Obiawuotu Nwagbaraocha

Jonathan Obiawuotu Nwagbaraocha is a dynamic attorney licensed in Maryland, currently serving as Corporate Counsel - Environmental Sustainability at Cisco Systems Incorporated. With proven expertise in environmental sustainability regulations and compliance, he advises on global compliance impacting operations, products, and supply chains, and collaborates on developing compliance strategies. Jonathan holds a J.D. with an Environmental Certificate from the University of Maryland School of Law, an M.P.P. in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, and a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University. He is the Immediate Past Chair of the American Bar Association, Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources, and was recognized with the Rochester Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award in 2017. He has also published on sustainability and effective corporate governance and presented on topics such as ESG considerations and risk management.
