The Clean Energy Hub is fully staffed with a dedicated team including a  Hub Director, Multifamily Energy Advisor, Residential Energy Advisor, Commercial Energy Advisor, and Community Engagement Coordinator, each guiding clients through their clean energy journey. This comprehensive approach has resulted in significant community engagement and adoption of clean energy technologies, reaching over 2000 residents. The Hub team advocated for policy improvements by holding state agencies and utilities accountable to ensure that program eligibility and requirements align with equitable, effective pathways toward a clean energy transition for the region.

The Finger Lakes Hub stands out as a statewide leader, showcasing effective models for scaling services, delivering impactful training, and crafting compelling marketing strategies. Collaborating with Causewave and NYSERDA, the Hub created engaging and accessible marketing materials, resulting in over 4,000 monthly impressions. Additionally, the Hub launched a Local Pilot Project, the Finger Lakes Clean Energy Workforce Development Landscape Analysis, to deepen understanding of growth potential and opportunities and barriers for the regional clean energy workforce. The analysis included a quantitative projection of anticipated growth in the clean energy sector as well as interviews and focus groups with workforce development organizations, training institutions, employers, potential employees, labor unions, social service providers, and “just transition” workers, setting a benchmark for workforce engagement that other state hubs can follow.

Partnering with local community-based organizations (CBOs), we are advancing equitable clean energy solutions through focused outreach and collaboration in historically underserved areas. Our growing resource directory of 76 programs connects residential, business, and nonprofit clients with the tools they need. By training CBOs to engage directly with their communities and developing relationships with county Departments of Social Services to streamline no-heat emergency projects, we ensure faster, more impactful service delivery. This collaborative effort addresses quality-of-life needs while leveraging clean energy resources, driving equitable and sustainable outcomes for all.
